Thought Provoking? Well..

Honestly, Karen's comments hav drawn a fair bit of a debate. That aside, there are a few things that i would like to highlight a few issues regarding the posting of individual pictures and other topics as well.

1. - Posting of individual member's passport photos

Frm verbal and online comments, most members think that it is not necessary to put individual pics. They would, however, prefer a group section's photo. My view?Well, putting up individual pics looks more like putting up deceased photos of a fatal concert mishap.Cheers~!

2. - Our band achievements as compared to other bands that SS mentioned about

Seriously speaking, our band have only served the community through performances. It's true we do not have any awards and medals and such. However, what we have, is a group of people who are committed to seeing this band improving and thus achieving significant awards someday. All this can happen, if people are willing to put in effort.A little effort from ALL,is all it takes.

3. - Commitment does not need to come in the form of putting individual pictures

I do not comprehend SS's idea regarding this.To put it simply, what SS is trying to say is that if your picture does not appear there, you are somewhat less committed than other members.Wah.Honestly, is this a communist website? If it is,I guess we all have to be forced to be committed, hence all the pictures like the obituaries page on Straits Times.A better way to appreciate the commitments contributed rather,is to bring them out for a hearty zhi-cha dinner,or say maybe a cold beer or such.I believe this is much better than just words "thank you for contributing to this concert arh, i appreciate it" I bet,the members will definitely feel more appreciated."The best way to a man's heart is thru his stomach" Heard of this phrase before?Well..it kind of appears to be true here.Heh.Seriously.

And lastly, u bunch of low life suckers, please sell half a book, thats all u ever need to sell.Just 5 tickets. Is it that hard?

Haha..!

On a serious note, if all of us just do our part to sell just half a book, we will have a very good attendance for this coming concert. Just half a book.Cool?

*chuckles* Ok It seems like I need to write in a more concise way.

Firstly, sorry that I can't spend too much time online with the band nowadays, with those contractors ripping the walls of my room to pieces searching for termites' nests and ruining my internet connection wires in the process.

And owing to the same reason why I have to miss the concert, I have difficulty going to band prac as well.

[hope my bosses don't come to work on sundays or check internet logs over here!]

Here's a quick reply to your concerns.

>>>1. - Posting of individual
>>>member's passport photos

Yes - I have read the thumbs-downs from everyone, which is why, in the face of members' opposition, I have not put it up. :-)

>>>2. - Our band achievements as
>>>compared to other bands that SS
>>>mentioned about

LOL - I'm sorry that I can't explain myself to save my life. What I meant to say was simply that other bands' websites do not have more information about their members aside from their names.

Whatever more or less achievements any bands have compared to us was never intended to be brought into a topic of discussion about website design.

The article was meant to be on website content, and website content only. I'm sorry if anyone misunderstands what I was trying to say.

All I was saying is that a band's website can - and should - do more to recognise their players, past and present.

>>>3. - Commitment does not need

Shucks...me gotta learn write good.

Again, I was talking about website content, I was not linking commitment to pictures.

Again, all I was saying is that a band's website can - and should - do more to recognise their players, past and present.

(I will try to allocate more of my time to band outings though. :-) )

Ok back to work. [Yes I'm in the office. sigh]
