Genting Trip Anyone

Hey peeps in Moulmein WS

a grp of us (namely, Karen,ST, ZQ, Ah Boon, Uncle) want to go to Genting for a short getway holiday the week after concert from 23 Nov to 25 Nov 2007. Anyone who is interested , pls tag !!!

The 4 main "killers" had been chosen and they are

1. Mont Blanc (SP)
2. Symphonic Overture
3. Nerval's Poems (SP)
4. The Woman in White (SP)

PLease Practice hard ?!?!?! Symphonic Overture was fun today right wink wink chirp chirp !!! haha !!

Meanwhile, we would have a jazz/combo band special and maybe sax quartet for the concert too to lighten up the mood. Meanwhile pls feel free to drop us any ideas for the concert

*Clears throat* everyone, good old Murphy is at work...next band practice is on next Sunday (26 August 2007), and no sectionals will be held this Sunday (19 August 2007).

Ok, ok, it's because of the lack of rooms available for individual prac, and out of consideration for the other users in the CC.

Next Practice Session @ Aug19, 2007

Hello everyone,

The next MWS Band Practice session is at TPSCC at 1pm-4pm...but this next session will be sectionals.

Just to reaffirm what we went through this afternoon, the pieces to work out for Mirificus are:

1. Mont Blanc
2. Symphonic Overture
3. Riverdance
4. Nerval's Poems
5. The Woman in White

As you know, sectionals are the most effective occasions for mistakes to be ironed out to facilitate more efficient and enjoyable full band sessions. I'm sure all of us have at least something to work on inside all 5 of these pieces - which will occupy at least 3 hours' of hard work, so gambatte ne!

News!

Hi everyone, band practice resumes on Sunday 5 Aug 2007 1pm-4pm at Toa Payoh South CC #02-13/14. Be there or be SS! =p

Latest news during this lull period:

We have advertised for woodwind players in sgbandfusion, and I hope that everyone is mentally geared up for Mirificus 2007.

The website development progress is going slowly but surely, and I am rushing to get something up by December.

In the meantime, please be as diligent as you have always been in turning up for band practice sessions, for I am sure that it is our dream to put up another good show and do ourselves proud as a band. :-)
